General
The Tervakoski Film in Svit is the central location for the Tervakoski Films Group. The Svit unit is a joint venture between Ab Rani Plast Oy, Finland and Chemosvit a.s., Slovakia. The Svit unit employs about 130 people in capacitor film operations, including sales and R & D.
Production
Film for metallisation and impregnation is produced with a tenter frame machine and films are metallised with aluminium, zinc or alloy. This amalgamation of know-how and expertise guarantees that the capacitor films supplied by Terichem are of the same high quality as all products made in the Tervakoski Films Group.
History
The production of OPP films for packaging had already started in 1977 by Chemosvit a.s., originally established in 1934. The production of capacitor film commenced in 1989. The technical and commercial co-operation between Terichem a.s and Tervakoski Dielectrics was started in 1993. Terichem a.s. was officially established in 1995.
