Tervakoski film IPP
Tervakoski film IPP is an insulating polypropylene-paper laminate of very high quality for EHV cables.
Typical end uses are HV Pipe Type Cables. Besides power cables, Tervakoski film IPP can be used for other dielectric purposes, where high electric strength and low dielectric losses are required.
Tervakoski film IPP is manufactured from top-grade special cable paper and an electrical grade polypropylene layer tightly bonded together in a strictly controlled extrusion process. The dissipation factor is extremely low and the dielectric strength high, permitting the laminate to be used at the highest voltages required without overheating.
The mechanical properties are similar to those of traditional cable paper enabling the use of the same slitting and lapping equipment as for conventional cable papers.
Tervakoski film IPO
Tervakoski film IPO is produced using the same raw materials as Tervakoski film IPO.
Tervakoski film IPO can be used in self contained oil filled cables.
The main difference between IPO and IPP is the lower swelling
rate of IPO. |
